If you could create your own coin, how would it be like?
For all!
At home or wherever you want, alone or with your family!
Do the drawings on the coins mean anything?
Throughout the history of money, kings, queens, regents, nobles, merchants, presidents, military, popes, emperors and governments have placed symbols on coins as a way of leaving their mark.
“This is my coin!” they all seem to say.
These symbols can be portraits, crowns, coats of arms, crosses, flowers, gods, animals, heroes, and many others. They can celebrate a victory, a new reign, a new currency, and convey important messages.
If you could make your own coin, which design would you choose?
We want to stimulate the creative process and that's why the Money Museum launches a challenge to do at home, alone or with your family!
Get inspired by the euro coins, the Museum Collection and the Treasures from the Money Museum Collection to create a new currency.
