The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and Cardinal D. Tolentino de Mendonça visit a temporary exhibition
On May 14, The Money Museum received the visit of His Excellency the President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and His Eminence Cardinal D. José Tolentino de Mendonça, for a guided tour of the exhibition “Moeda, Fé e Política: Vatican coins and medals", displayed in the Money Museum in a joint organization of the Banco de Portugal and the Apostolic Library of the Vatican.
Governor Mário Centeno received the President of the Republic and the Cardinal, who were then led by one of the exhibition's curators, João Pedro Vieira, a numismatist at the Museu do Dinheiro, on a guided tour where some of contents were highlighted, namely those that best mirror the relations between Portugal and the Holy See.
This exhibition was on display at the Money Museum between November 12, 2020 and September 19, 2021.
